Dry skin can be cared for with non-foaming cleansers that will not strip protective oils from the skin surface.
A moisturiser should be applied while the skin is still damp to help trap water on the skin's surface.
Astringent toners are not recommended for dry skin. Light toners without alcohol should be used if a toner is desired.
People with dry skin should not use abrasive or exfoliating scrubs because it will affect the ability of the skin to retain water and may break the surface of the skin, risking infection.
