Sensitive skin becomes inflamed very easily and should be looked after by preventing and reducing irritation and inflammation.
For severe inflammation an anti-inflammatory product might be needed to reduce the inflammation. Once inflammation is under control a gentle skincare regimen can reduce any irritation to the skin.
Sensitive skin can be cared for with non-foaming cleansers that will not strip protective oils from the skin surface. Facial scrubs should not be used because friction impairs the skin barrier.
One way to care for sensitive skin is to find out what is triggering the sensitivity and avoiding this as much as possible.
